Writing My Tombstone Note 🪦 (It’s Less Creepy Than It Sounds, I Swear!)
Why Writing Your Tombstone Note Might Be the Most Life-Changing Thing You Do
Hi friends,
Okay, I know what you’re thinking—writing your own tombstone note? Really, Stavrina? But stick with me here, because this exercise is less about the end 🪦 and more about discovering what truly makes life worth living!
When I first heard about this exercise, I thought it sounded a little…morbid. (I mean, who wakes up one day thinking, “Let’s plan how I’ll be remembered”?) But as I started writing, I realized it’s actually a brilliant way to uncover your passions, values, and what matters most.
Here’s the big idea: Imagine your life at the end. What would you want people to say about you? What kind of impact would you hope to leave behind? What are the things that you’d regret not doing?
✨ Spoiler alert: Writing your tombstone note isn’t about death—it’s about LIFE. It’s about making sure that every day you’re heading toward the legacy you want to leave behind.
To show you how fun (and slightly awkward) this exercise can be, I’m sharing my own obituary below! 🎭 Warning: It’s got a splash of humor, a few big dreams, and a lot of love for the creative journey I’m on.
This is an ongoing exercise that will change many times in your life. This was my first tombstone attempt! This change and adaptation is not allowed… it is necessary!
Your Turn!
I want to challenge you to give this a try. Take a moment, grab a pen, and write the story of the life you want to live. Then ask yourself: Are you heading in the right direction to make it happen?
If you’re brave enough, hit reply and share your own with me—or just let me know what dreams it brought up for you. I’d love to hear about it.
Here’s to living a life worth writing about (literally)!
